Im Herbst 2010 fand im Kunstraum Niederoesterreich ein Symposium mit dem Titel “Performing Memory” unter internationaler Beteiligung statt. Nun erscheint das Buch mit Dokumentationen der vielfältigen Beiträge. Der Anspruch war, die Vorträge und Performances des Symposiums auf jeweils adäquate Art und Weise in das Medium Buch zu übersetzen. Christiane Krejs spricht zum Buch und zum Thema mit der Künstlerin und Kuratorin des Symposiums Julia Kläring.
